Details Trauma ICU unit within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital with 1,273 staffed beds Patient ratio of 1:2 Rotating shift schedule, typically alternating 3 weeks of days and 3 weeks of nights (3x12-hour shifts); day shift 7:00–19:30, night shift 19:00–7:30 Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend required Floating within scope required to meet facility needs No on-call requirements Block scheduling is not available Charting done in Epic; Epic experience required Navy blue scrubs required Requirements Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Trauma ICU experience required; Level I trauma center experience preferred Experience at a teaching facility preferred Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required Experience with arterial line, central line, and PICC line management required Must pass a Relias EKG exam Epic EMR experience required Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract period; no RTO during the first week of orientation Travel RNs may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required before returning Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler IL-licensed candidates may be submitted with a pending IL license American Traveler Job ID P-695509.
