Details Hospital-based Surgical Oncology unit, functioning as both a stepdown and med/surg environment Night shift schedule, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week) Patient population includes surgical oncology cases ranging from simple to complex acuity levels Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required ONS or ONCC certification required Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Proficiency in organizing, planning, and coordinating nursing care Ability to initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products Additional Information Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including documentation of responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments Assists physicians with patient examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments Monitors and responds to physiological data and changes in patient condition Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood product delivery Collaborates with patients and families on care planning, education, and discharge instructions Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff and makes referrals to relevant personnel as needed Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract American Traveler Job ID P-680009.
