Details Hospital stepdown/immediate care unit setting Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekdays with some weekends Typical patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 in emergencies Patient acuity varies and may include progressive care or telemetry-level patients Charting performed in Cerner EMR Blocked schedules may be considered for weekend blocks only (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon) 13-week contract with possibility of extension Requirements Active WV or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required; 2 years of Stepdown experience preferred Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips required IV insertion skills required Telemetry monitoring experience required Cerner EMR experience preferred Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Two manager or charge nurse references (within the past 2 years) required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Scrubs are not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs required Holiday RTO requests are limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays American Traveler Job ID P-695504.
