Details 286-bed acute care hospital setting Stepdown ICU unit Patient ratio of 1:4 Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45a–7:15p) Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required Epic EMR — experience required Requirements Active SC RN license or Compact license — must be in hand prior to start (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered) Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred Cardiac telemetry experience required Telemetry competency required Epic EMR experience required SSN and Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs Pre-start orientation modules are required to be completed before the first day CPI certification preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Royal Blue scrubs required Free parking on-site Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September American Traveler Job ID P-686147.
