Details 42-bed Cardiac Medical/Telemetry unit (6 North) in a hospital setting Primary patient population includes cardiac patients presenting with chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and cardiac arrhythmias Also cares for medical patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, and occasional stroke, as well as surgical patients Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required Floating to other units and hospitals is required Facility uses Meditech EMR (experience preferred but not required) 13-week contract Requirements Active AL or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted No prior disciplinary hits on license (past or current) AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience; candidates with 18 months may be considered if they have at least 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required at minimum Current NURSYS verification required Active state or compact RN license must be on hand for consideration Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration Current driver's license required for consideration Full SSN required for consideration Additional Information Provide patient-centered cardiac telemetry and medical/surgical nursing care with a focus on optimal patient outcomes Team includes dedicated nursing and ancillary staff supporting specialized patient recovery Virtual orientation provided, including competency-based modules — no HealthStream modules required prior to start Candidates will be required to complete an online pre-test as part of the hiring process Solid navy scrubs required Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restrictions Timekeeping system: Centricity American Traveler Job ID P-678566.
