Details 42-bed Heart Failure/Stroke unit (5 North) dedicated to patients with neurological and cardiac conditions, including congestive heart failure and acute stroke Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6 Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required Floating to other units and hospitals is required Meditech EMR used; experience not required 36 or 48 hours per week available Requirements Active AL or compact RN license required; no temporary or pending licenses accepted No prior license violations or hits permitted Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or Red Cross), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) required Minimum 2 years of RN experience; candidates with 18 months may be considered At least 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or a related cardiac/neuro specialty required NURSYS verification required Valid driver's license required Two professional references from within the last year required Additional Information Works alongside cardiologists and neurologists to deliver evidence-based care for complex neuro-cardiac patient populations No HealthStream modules required prior to start; competency-based modules are completed during virtual orientation Candidates must take an online pre-assessment exam; a Cardiac Exam link will be sent upon offer acceptance Solid navy scrubs required Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions Timekeeping is managed through Centricity American Traveler Job ID P-680268.
