Details Pediatric Medical unit within a Level 1 trauma facility Patient population spans newborns through 18-year-olds across a wide range of medical conditions, including respiratory and GI cases Patients with tracheostomies and home ventilators are part of the regular caseload Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week) 13-week contract Requirements Active OK RN license or current multistate eNLC compact license required Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Experience with trach care and home ventilator management required Broad pediatric nursing experience including respiratory and GI strongly preferred Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) required Full DOB and full SSN required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, documenting patient responses to interventions and medication changes, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating discharge planning with patients and families Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before returning for another contract This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines — all onboarding requirements including drug screens, background checks, and medical clearances must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer American Traveler Job ID P-679702.
