Details Work in a Pediatric ICU Stepdown unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex Night shift schedule 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts Level I trauma center experience required Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Pediatric ICU experience required Level I trauma center experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Proficiency in professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills required Full date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of pediatric patients, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before applying for a subsequent contract Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must be completed promptly after booking; start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance American Traveler Job ID P-680155.
