Details Hospital-based position on a 24-bed Oncology/Women’s Surgical unit Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Typical patient ratios are 1:4 or 1:5 Standard unit equipment utilized Electronic Medical Record used is Cerner Floating to other med-surg units is rare Staff must work 6 weekend days per schedule Requirements Active RN license required Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC Minimum 1 year of recent experience in oncology or related med/surg specialty Chemo certification required for oncology nurses No gaps in work history equal to or exceeding 90 days in the past 12 months US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Typical procedures include occasional pelvic exams, echo, and thoracentesis Team players who are willing to learn will fit best in this environment Dress code for RNs is navy, white, or a combination of both Rare call requirements may occur Basic hospital policies and guidelines apply First time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-586533.
