Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,909 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel JOB DESCRIPTION RN - ED ● About Facility: o 207 licensed beds o No Trauma Designation o Not a Teaching Hospital o Chest Pain Center o Stroke Center o Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit ● Unit Information: o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years ED experience o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes ● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o ED Diagnoses: Stroke, CHF, Electrolyte imbalance, Arrythmias, Respiratory arrest, Sepsis, COPD, Falls, MVCs, etc. ● Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:3-4 o CNA: 1:8-10 ● Required Licensure & Certifications: o RN: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI – required; TNCC (preferred) ● Skills required: o General ED skillset - Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, vent management, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation, triage experience, etc ● Support within the Department: o CNA o Receptionist/HUC o Charge nurse – may or may not have patients o Phlebotomy – peripheral blood draws o IV/VAT Team: 11a-7p, 11p-7a o Resource Nurse – as staffing allows o RT, 24/7 o Hospitalist, 24/7 o Intensivist - ICU provider in house until 11p M-F, till 7p Sat/Sun, VCC coverage and on call Intensivist ● Technology/Equipment: o EMR: Epic o IV Pump: Alaris o Med dispensing: Omnicell o Monitors: Phillips o Unit specific equipment: bladder scanner, IV pumps, SCDs, Telemetry monitoring, Vents, Bipap ● Floating: o Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable o Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, any Freestanding ED within Region, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH) o If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) ● Orientation (facility and unit): o NEO o 2 days departmental ● Scheduling: o Weekend rotation: every other o No call for travelers o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours o Shift times: 0700-1900, 0900-2100, 1100-2300, 1300-0100, 1500-0300, and 1900-0700 ● Other notes: o Scrub Color: Navy o Parking: Free JobDiva 26-06883 (M) About TalentBurst, Inc TalentBurst Health & Life Sciences is an established provider of healthcare workforce solutions, servicing healthcare facilities across the United States for over 15 years.
