Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) – Days Job Type: Contract Position Urgency: Normal Location: Hawaii Duration: 15 Weeks Shift: Days – 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week) Hours: No guarantee of hours EMR System: EPIC Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a day shift contract assignment in Hawaii. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse who excels in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The Emergency Department includes: 28 total beds 4 trauma bays 2 behavioral health rooms 22 cardiac monitor rooms This unit experiences rapid patient turnover and requires strong clinical judgment and prioritization skills. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups Perform rapid triage, assessments, and emergency interventions Assist with trauma and high-acuity cases Administer medications and treatments per provider orders Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality outcomes Schedule Requirements Day shifts 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly) No guaranteed hours Holiday coverage may be required Qualifications Active Hawaii RN license (must be obtained prior to start of assignment) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume emergency setting Required Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Preferred Certifications: Procedural Sedation TNCC ENPC Additional Information Candidates must arrive the Thursday prior to start date for employee health clearance on Friday.
