Details 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit with a primary focus on medical neurological patients A Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) provides monitoring surveillance for patients on the unit Patient population includes CVA and other neurological conditions requiring progressive care Specialized procedures include External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, and Yale Swallowing Screen Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Rotating weekend requirement Floating required as needed across all system facilities Scheduling is done in 6-week periods via self-assisted scheduling through Optilink Epic EMR experience is mandatory Requirements Active NC or compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Neuro PCU experience required Epic EMR experience required Previous Charge RN experience preferred Copy of driver's license required for consideration Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate American Traveler Job ID P-678101.
