Details 304-bed acute care hospital setting Med/Surg Telemetry unit Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a Patient ratio of 1:5 Every other weekend required On-call is required but rare; if called, the on-call commitment is for the first 4 hours Floating within scope to similar units or sister facilities may be required based on facility needs Charting performed in Epic (experience required) Requirements Active SC RN license or multi-state compact RN license — candidates with a pending SC license may be considered, but must be fully licensed before starting Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele RN experience required Epic EMR experience required SSN and valid Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler Scrub color: Royal Blue Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; approval is based on facility needs Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized Free parking is available via a parking pass distributed at badge pickup; downtown parking lots and garages are available, though garages have clearance limitations for larger vehicles Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak months are August and September American Traveler Job ID P-682466.
