Details Acute Medical/Surgical unit on the 6th floor of a 225-bed specialty care hospital Adult and geriatric patient population (ages 18) Patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 Equipment includes telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps EMR: Cerner Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Rotating weekend requirement (every other weekend) Occasional floating to similar units required 13-week contract Requirements Active MI RN license required Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA-issued certifications required) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Medical/Surgical unit experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment Additional Information Level II Trauma facility offering a broad range of specialty services including Heart & Vascular, Cancer Care, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, and Women's Health Located in Marquette, MI — the largest community in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and home to Northern Michigan University Orientation is held bi-weekly Scrub color: Galaxy Blue (Navy is also acceptable); tattoos that may be considered offensive must be covered; excessive jewelry and excessive nail length are not permitted Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate Candidates who have worked permanently at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible American Traveler Job ID P-686563.
