Details Work in a 19-bed private room Med/Surg Neuro Unit within a hospital setting Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients with medical, surgical, neurological, and neurosurgical diagnoses Unit is equipped with telemetry and oximetry monitoring Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00) Epic EMR used; experience preferred Requirements Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience preferred Epic EMR experience preferred Additional Information Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler No travel pairs or groups accepted No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-684107.
