Details 13-week contract at an acute care hospital in Pulaski, TN Detox Unit assignment; ER experience will also be considered 13-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients (ages 17) with substance abuse, polysubstance abuse, ETOH withdrawal, seizures, liver disease, hypertension, high fall risk, and related behavioral and medical conditions Patient ratio of 1:7 Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 36 hours per week Every other weekend required, plus additional weekends as needed No on-call requirements Floating to other departments may be required on an as-needed basis, but is not standard Equipment used includes IV pumps, Zoll monitors, and IV catheters EMR: HMS/Medhost Requirements Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact license) required ASN minimum required education Current AHA certifications required prior to start: BLS, ACLS, and PALS Minimum 3 years of RN experience required; 5 years preferred Proficiency in patient care across all age groups and bedside shift reporting IV access skills required CIWA/COWS experience preferred Experience assisting with bedside procedures such as PICC lines and midlines preferred Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Must not be employed full-time elsewhere Additional Information Care responsibilities include administering valium tapers, Subutex, Vivitrol, banana bags, rescue medications, and routine/home medications for detox and substance abuse patients Handle With Care certification will be required after hire All clinical staff must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start AHA-issued certifications are required (non-AHA equivalents not accepted) Orientation is held weekly on Mondays Education expectations and required audits/processes — including bedside shift report, briefs, debriefs, and unit checks — are expected to be completed and followed throughout the contract Scrub color: any solid color; hoodies, open-toed shoes, logo outerwear, and jewelry or items that could pose a safety risk are not permitted Ideal candidates are team-oriented, calm under pressure, confident in clinical judgment, and willing to support and improve department processes American Traveler Job ID P-685516.
