Details Comprehensive cancer center with 318 acute care beds across specialized inpatient oncology units (36 beds per unit) Units are specialized by cancer diagnosis, including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, and Corrections Healthcare Floating required across Med/Surg and PCU Oncology units PCU staffing ratio is 1:3, up to 1:4 with mixed acuity; Med/Surg Tele ratio is ideally 1:4, up to 1:5 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) If accepting a 12D/N rotating contract, scheduling may include days, nights, or a combination based on department needs, reviewed every 4-week scheduling period Weekend scheduling is variable based on unit needs Self-scheduling requests are submitted for consideration prior to final schedule posting — no set or blocked scheduling is available Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention Requirements Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of high-acuity Med/Surg Tele experience or higher required Oncology experience preferred but not required 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained Additional Information Orientation begins with the first week Mon–Fri on day shift, followed by 5 bedside orientation shifts across weeks 2 and 3, then independent practice No 30-day break between assignments is required to change representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs) Any time off or scheduling requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration American Traveler Job ID P-686063.
