Details Med/Surg unit (3rd/4th Floor) in an acute care hospital setting Patient population includes a variety of health conditions ranging from simple to complex Night shift schedule 36 hours per week, working three 12-hour shifts 13-week contract Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services Effective verbal, written, and cross-cultural communication skills Basic computer proficiency required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments, administering medications, and monitoring IV infusions and blood products Collaborates with physicians during patient exams and minor diagnostic procedures Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning Makes appropriate referrals and delegates tasks to support staff as needed Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (extensions are limited to one time, for a total of 26 weeks) Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background check, medical requirements) must be completed promptly after acceptance of an offer American Traveler Job ID P-686273.
