Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) night shift position requiring a WA or compact RN license and at least one year of RN experience in a specialty nursing department. Details Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit within a hospital setting Night shift schedule 13-week contract 36 hours per week May be required to function as Charge Nurse, including patient assignment delegation, coordinating admissions and discharges, and leading unit staff Requirements Active WA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand BLS (Healthcare Provider level, AHA or equivalent) required within 30 days of hire ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire NRP (AAP Advanced) required prior to end of orientation AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring) required within 3 months of completing L&D training Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a specialty nursing department preferred Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs independently and assist with lifting 60–300 lbs Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform patient care activities for 8–12 hours per shift Ability to perform CPR and manage multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously Additional Information Provides comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for LDRP patients May assume charge nurse responsibilities including staff supervision, delegation, and problem-solving STABLE course completion within 6 months of orientation is encouraged (optional) RN-C specialty certification is preferred Reports to the Nursing Department Director, House Supervisor, and Charge Nurse Up to 24 hours of call-off may be scheduled by the facility during the assignment DOB and SSN may be required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-686088.
