Details Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting Day shift schedule 36 hours per week, 3x12-hour shifts Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required Level 1 trauma experience required Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred Proficiency in nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Basic computer skills required Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration Additional Information Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and obtains and monitors physiological patient data Assists physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility may only extend once for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before returning for another contract Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer American Traveler Job ID P-680152.
