Schedule Shift: 14:30 - 3:00 (Block scheduling is not guaranteed) Job Description The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients across all age groups. The unit is equipped to handle a variety of common diagnoses, including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The nurse will also be involved in triaging and managing both pediatric and adult patients in a 64-bed emergency department. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department. Conduct assessments, implement care plans, and monitor patient progress. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Participate in triaging patients and managing varying levels of acuity. Utilize specialty equipment effectively, including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. Float to different areas of the department as necessary. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing, with some experience in pediatrics. Travel experience is required. Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand). Active RN license in New York and verification through NURSYS report. Two recent references in Emergency Department Charge/Manager roles. Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC. Must possess a valid driver’s license and ensure it matches provided demographics.
