Details Work in a 36-bed Telemetry unit (5 North) consisting entirely of private rooms Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatric patients, with a focus on cardiac care and recovery from cardiac interventions including cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant Hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients are also admitted to this unit Patient ratio is 1:6 Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Every other weekend required Epic EMR — experience required Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current BLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred Minimum 2 years of telemetry or relevant RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered Epic EMR experience required 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible for this position: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler No travel pairs or groups will be accepted RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and will not be approved during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID P-684130.
