Details Work setting is a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab with 2 cath lab rooms and 2 hybrid peripheral/OR rooms Patient population includes coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis, limb salvage, and Impella/LVAD insertions 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week Weekend rotation every 4th weekend On-call required 1–2 days per week from 1630–0600, and every 4th weekend from 1630 Friday through 0600 Monday Charting systems: Epic (required), Epic Cupid (preferred), Alaris, and Omnicell No floating required Requirements Active RN license — South Dakota license or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience with coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases required Proficiency with devices including IABP, Impella, Rotoblator, and Penumbra Skills required: critical patient assessment, vasoactive and sedation drug administration, sterile technique, air management, laser and lithotripsy atherectomy, and peripheral IV skills Epic EMR experience required 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration DOB and SSN required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered if they have strong experience in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible Former permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler Charge nurse coverage available Monday–Friday, 0600–1630 Orientation consists of 4 days at 10-hour shifts Approximately 1 holiday may be required during the assignment Time off requests must be approved by the manager Procedural scrubs are provided by the facility Free parking is available on-site American Traveler Job ID P-686552.
