Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with a compassionate, friendly, professional demeanor. Must be customer focused and posses excellent skills to manage and execute a good workflow all while enjoying working with kids of all ages.
Floor Nursing: In charge of efficient patient flow for provider, assess emergency patients on arrival and perform appropriate nursing interventions, legally document all patient information on encounter form and in chart, be knowledgeable about all aspects of vaccines: appropriates ages for vaccines, Contra-indications, Interacting with the child and parents, including safe restraint of the child, Correct and safe vaccine administration, administer medications including nebulizer treatments and oxygen, assist in completing patient forms, refills, and prior authorizations for medications.
Phone Nursing: Triage all emergency calls, Collect information for patient care, pull lab results off printer, do pre-certifications, prior authorizations, and referrals, refill patient medications.
Special Nursing: See patients for skilled nursing tasks: Administer vaccines, Hemogloblin checks, Allergy shots, PFT's, PPD's, Weight checks, BP checks, High cholesterol counseling, Pb tests, Rapid flu & streps, Specialty injections, Newborn screenings, Genesight tests.
All full-time employees are eligible to receive $100 per paycheck towards an FSA, Dependant Care or Health Insurance premiums. Plus a $5/hr pay differential for any Ped*I*Care and Saturday hours.
