Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient service by assisting physicians and healthcare professionals in the examination and treatment of patients.
  • Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Apply knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately perform medical procedures.
  • Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and coding medical procedures.
  • Assist with basic life support measures in emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a hospital setting to ensure quality patient care.


Skills:

  • Excellent patient service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with both patients and staff
  • Proficient in taking accurate vital signs and documenting appropriately
  • Medication administration techniques and safety protocols
  • Familiarity with dermatologic surgery procedures and sterile technique.
  • Understanding human physiology to perform medical procedures accurately and safely.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (1+ year preferred).
  • Previous hospital or clinical experience is a plus.
  • Background in Mohs surgery or general surgical assisting.
  • Solid understanding of dermatological surgery procedures and sterile technique.


License/Certification:

  • EMA/EHR certification (Preferred)
  • CPR/BLS (Preferred)
