Performs other related duties as assigned. Working knowledge and experience with boiler and steam systems. Works closely with water treatment contractor to maintain water supply and treatment systems; monitors and maintains systems when contractor is offsite. Works closely with Plant facility group and Environmental and Safety Department on all ongoing maintenance and special projects.
Cleans, lubricates, and maintains parts and equipment to prevent failure and degradation. Drafts and maintains documentation related to equipment, data, and general operating instructions and schedules. Maintains knowledge of plant operation best practices and safety protocols, which may include active participation in refresher and new training coursework.
Mechanical Troubleshooting:
Must be able to inspect, troubleshoot, & resolve mechanical faults in hydraulic & pneumatic systems
Must be able to troubleshoot, Inspect, Clean, Replace &/or Service the following items, plus:
Facility lines and pipes, from 1/8”- 20” in diameter

Equipment Operation: Must possess the skills, or be willing to learn:
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Operate a forklift, Yard Runner, Scissor Lift, Overhead Cranes, & various other pieces of equipment
Bench grinders
Belt sanders
Band saw: Horizontal & Portable
Pipe Threader
Hammer Drill
Safety:
Must be able to identify and repair or elevate safety concerns & hazards
Must use lock out tag out
Must be a qualified rigger or capable of becoming one
