Position Summary 

As a Human Resources Intern, you will support the HR Administration team in modernizing and standardizing organizational documentation. This role offers hands-on experience in building a central job description repository, refining the employee handbook, and improving administrative workflows. You will gain exposure to global HR operations while ensuring consistency and clarity across corporate communications and employee records.

Location: Photronics – Brookfield, CT (US). This is an on-site position.

Duration: 10 – 12 Weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Documentation & Standardization: Catalog, review, and update job descriptions across departments to include standardized sections such as position summaries and required qualifications.
  • Project Support: Assist in the development of a central job description repository and create a standardized HR file checklist.
  • Policy & Communication: Review the current employee handbook for clarity and organization, helping to update sections as directed by HR leadership.
  • HR Operations: Support the consolidation of employee documentation and identify opportunities to improve file structure completeness and consistency.
  • Process Documentation: Document basic HR administrative workflows and assist with the development of simple process guides.
  • Talent Acquisition Support: Assist with application reviews, job advertisements, data entry, and branding efforts. 
  • Support other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes)

  • Ability to identify inconsistencies and gaps within organizational documentation and propose logical improvements.
  • Ability to present complex HR policy changes or documentation updates in a clear and professional manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Interest in learning about HR operations and organizational structure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
