Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. This includes monitoring patient health, administering medications and treatments, and assisting with daily living activities. The LPN plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare team and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and health status.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, following established protocols.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Collect specimens for testing and perform basic laboratory procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support physicians and RNs during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and health maintenance.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active and unrestricted LPN license in [State].
