Plan a stronger first 30 days

Turn an accepted offer into a clear, supported start.

01

Before day one

Confirm start details, point of contact, schedule and required onboarding steps through approved channels. Coordinate your organization’s credentialing, access and employment processes.

02

First day

Introduce the team, clarify reporting relationships, review the orientation plan and show the new hire where to find policies, systems and support.

03

First week

Arrange role-appropriate learning, supervised practice and check-ins. Confirm who assesses readiness and how the new hire should ask questions or escalate concerns.

04

Weeks two through four

Review progress against the agreed orientation plan. Adjust support to demonstrated needs, gather feedback from the new hire and preceptor, and document next steps.

05

Day-30 conversation

Discuss what is working, what remains unclear and what additional support is needed. Agree on the next review date and development priorities. Follow role-specific facility requirements throughout.
