Details Trauma ICU setting within a hospital environment Level 1 Trauma ICU patient population with complex, critically ill cases Night shift schedule, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week) Cardiac experience required as part of daily patient care responsibilities Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license Current BLS and ACLS certifications, both issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) Minimum 1 year of RN experience, specifically in an ICU at a Level 1 Trauma facility Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required Cardiac nursing experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include managing assigned patient groups, documenting nursing interventions and treatment responses, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and coordinates care with support staff through delegation Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend one time for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before becoming eligible for a new contract after that This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) immediately upon acceptance American Traveler Job ID P-681889.
