A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 in ICU and 1:4 in PCU • 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period • Self-scheduling managed by unit manager based on needs • Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU • Navy blue scrub dress code required • Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination • 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided • Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score or face termination • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities • First-time travelers not accepted • No license or background hits accepted • Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old with trauma injuries, sepsis, stroke, ARDS, COPD, and cardiac arrest • Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips • Work with advanced equipment including CVPs, IABP, Impella, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, ICP monitoring • Read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system • Manage respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to ventilators • Document in EPIC charting system • BSN degree not required Facility: This healthcare facility operates the region's only Level 1 trauma center, featuring an 18-bed Trauma ICU that provides critical care for the most complex and severely injured patients.
