A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with liver call responsibilities • Handle liver transplant cases and other surgical procedures when no liver/transplant cases are scheduled • Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts • On-call requirement: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month • Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience (non-negotiable) • Must be proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment • Experience required in placing organs in new patients, not just harvesting • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (must have at time of submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) • Minimum 2 years direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required • Scrub color: Ceil blue • Charting system: EPIC • Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs • Must participate in training students and new staff as this is a teaching facility • Must be nicotine-free (smoke-free facility with negative 10 panel nicotine drug screen required) • EKG and pharmacy test required during 40-hour orientation with maximum 2 attempts each • Complete 6-15 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually • All requested time off must be submitted at time of application • Strict attendance policy - facility has a "do not call" policy Facility: This 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital specializes in complex transplant procedures and advanced surgical services. The facility maintains Magnet status and operates 18 operating rooms with a daily census of 55-60 patients.
