Details Short-term acute care hospital with 110 staffed beds Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients, including stroke, post-cardiac cath, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic, medical COVID, oral surgery, and total joint replacement cases Patient ratio of 1:4–6 with an average daily census of 16 Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Every third weekend required Floating between two hospital campuses (Progress West and St. Peters) as needed Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active MO RN license or compact RN license required; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 2 years of telemetry or step-down RN experience required Experience with stroke patient care required Experience with post-cardiac catheterization patient care required Epic EMR experience required Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Scrub color required: light gray/silver Some initial orientation may occur outside of typical contract shift hours Free parking available on-site RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required Local candidates (within 75 miles of the facility) are not eligible for this position American Traveler Job ID P-684151.
