A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • Weekend requirements include 5-6 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule (Sat/Sun for days) • 2 years of nursing experience required, travel experience preferred • Must have post-procedural cardiac experience (cath lab, ablations, open heart) • PCU and stepdown experience preferred • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Float between Tele 3 and Tele 7 as needed, travelers are first to float • Can be floated to any other MS, MS-Tele, or Tele units within the hospital and sister facilities • Maintain 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips and document appropriately (2x per shift) • Manage titratable drips including heparin and insulin, set rate cardiac drips • Care for cardiac patients including post-op day 1 open heart, TAVRs, ablations, post caths, pacemakers • Handle general telemetry patients with CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, post strokes • Work with remote tele technicians and RT staff for patient monitoring and respiratory needs • Any color scrubs permitted • 2 shifts orientation (1 on each floor) • May be asked to work holidays but not expected to work every holiday • Schedule made 6 weeks at a time with flexibility required Facility: This major medical center operates comprehensive telemetry units on multiple floors, providing specialized cardiac care and general telemetry services.
