Details Works in the Surgical ICU (SICU) of a 228-bed acute care, Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital Patient ratio of 1:2 Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:30–08:00) Every other weekend required Floating within scope required to meet facility needs No on-call responsibilities Charting performed in Cerner Sorian (1st Generation) 13-week contract Requirements Active DC RN license required; pending licensure not accepted Minimum 2 years of SICU or relevant RN experience required (4 years preferred) Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Two professional references required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted Every other holiday coverage is required Maximum of 1 RTO request for the duration of the contract Royal blue scrubs required Parking is the responsibility of the clinician; options include street metered parking, daily/weekly/monthly hospital parking passes, and public transportation via Metro (Shaw/Howard University stop on the Green and Yellow lines) American Traveler Job ID P-687299.
