Details High-acuity SICU in a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:2 Surgical post-op recovery patient population, including transplant recovery (liver, heart, lungs, kidney, and pancreas) Procedures and equipment include PA catheters, balloon pumps/IABP, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) CVICU case types include post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, and aortic dissection Epic EMR experience required Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) Floating required to other ICUs and Step-Down Units (SDUs) No block scheduling requests accepted Requirements Active LA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale High-acuity ICU nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required Experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps preferred Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Additional Information Must reside 65 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may designate you to an emergency team, requiring you to remain at the facility during or after an emergency event or serve on a relief team All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process 13-week contract American Traveler Job ID P-686936.
