Job Details Position: Med/Surg Telemetry RN / Medical-Surgical Tele RN (Travel) Location: Jacksonville, NC 28546 — North Carolina travel nursing opportunity Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,800 - $1,890 per week Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026) Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratio: 1:6 on a 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit Employment Type: Travel RN, On-site COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only) Qualifications / Job Requirements Active NC RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Med/Surg Telemetry RN or Med/Surg RN with telemetry experience Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI Clinical proficiency with IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips, heparin protocols, and Lasix drips Meditech charting experience preferred (electronic health record experience helpful) Comfortable floating to similar or lower acuity units and caring for IMCU patients if needed Strong patient monitoring, cardiac telemetry interpretation, and acute care nursing skills Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with diagnoses including cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedics Monitor telemetry and respond to acute changes in patient condition using evidence-based Med/Surg Tele RN practices Administer and titrate IV insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips following hospital protocols Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams: RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNA/US, unit secretaries, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech (preferred) or equivalent EHR Float to units of similar acuity as needed and work scheduled weekends/holidays This travel nursing assignment offers hands-on experience in acute care and telemetry nursing within a supportive interdisciplinary team.
