Opportunity: RN - Observation Unit Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12's or 40 hours for 8/10's • 26 week contract (not negotiable) • 18 months telemetry/acute care experience required; 2 years preferred • PCU experience required with strong vasoactive drip experience mandatory • Must float to all 3 hospitals within 20-mile radius (Martin North, South, Tradition) • Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) • Must be nicotine free - negative 10 panel nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required • White scrubs required • Chart using EPIC system • EKG and Pharm test required during orientation with maximum 2 attempts each • Complete time-sensitive modules averaging 6-15 hours (non-billable) • Skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions • Free parking available in unrestricted spaces • All RTO must be included at time of submission Facility: This 332-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital operates as a smoke-free facility and maintains Magnet designation standards.
