A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • Full-time position with 5 positions available • Every other weekend requirement • No on-call responsibilities • Nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing • Care for cardiac and telemetry patients (not a step-down unit) • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS certification from AHA • RN License in state of employment or compact required • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred • One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred • Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire • Precepted by designated trained staff member during initial on-boarding • Must complete organizational entry competency validation and MedSurg specific competency validation • Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers • Temp to perm opportunity available Facility: This healthcare facility operates a cardiac and telemetry unit that provides specialized care for patients with heart conditions and requires continuous cardiac monitoring.
