Details Work in a hospital Medicine Specialty Unit Patients present with health problems ranging from simple to complex 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required for this unit Level I trauma experience preferred Requirements Active RN license (OK state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required ADN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred Proficiency in organizing, planning, and evaluating nursing care Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors Basic computer skills required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, documenting patient responses to interventions and treatments, and administering medications including IV infusions and blood products Assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Monitors and responds to physiological changes in patient status Engages patients and families in care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior travelers may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks) Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance American Traveler Job ID P-681487.
