Details Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-out cases Patient ratios: 1:6 on days, 1:7 on nights, and 1:8 on weekends Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active NY RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and IV insertion/maintenance Experience managing patients with CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and non-invasive airway management Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols Epic EMR experience required Additional Information First-time travelers are not eligible for this position Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered Any color nursing uniform is acceptable 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration All time-off requests must be submitted upfront at the time of initial consideration American Traveler Job ID P-685297.
