A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend coverage required • Patient ratios: Days 1:6, Nights 1:7, Weekends 1:8 • 2 years of nursing experience required • Travel experience required • Epic charting system experience is a hard requirement • NY license required in hand to submit • Must live more than 50 miles from facility location • Float to other units as needed • 12 hours of orientation provided • Modules completed pre-start (up to 10 hours total) • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS • Any nursing uniform color scrubs acceptable • Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule out • Skills required: MS/Tele monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team participation, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, IV insertion and maintenance, CVA and seizure disorder care, substance withdrawal management, BiPAP/CPAP operation, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 25-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of approximately 20 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
