A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Rehab Job Details: • Work in 30-bed acute medical surgical unit with emphasis on rehabilitation services • Patient ratio of 1:6 on all shifts • Minimum of 8 weekend shifts required per 6 weeks • Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks • 12 hours orientation required • Minimum 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted • Must have 2 years of recent specialty experience with full year in-specialty within past 12 months • No employment gaps greater than 90 days in past year • BLS certification required • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) • Epic charting system experience required • Navy blue scrubs required for RNs • Must be willing to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed • Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact required at submission • Maximum 7 days request time off allowed • Skills required include acute rehab hospital experience, telemetry monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols, central line care, IV management, fall risk assessment, infection prevention, and wound care • Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and other rehabilitation needs • Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services Facility: This healthcare facility operates a specialized 30-bed acute medical surgical unit with a strong focus on rehabilitation services. The facility maintains an average daily census of 24-30 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
