A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted • Work on Neuro/Stroke PCU floor with respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical patients • Patient ratio of 1:4 with continuous telemetry monitoring • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH • Manage PCU level patients including titrating cardiac drips • Work with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems • Navy blue scrubs required • Maximum 7 days RTO with Spring Break blackout dates (April 4th-12th) • Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere • Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed • No call requirements • Holiday work requirements based on number of major holidays during assignment period • Skills include telemetry monitoring, cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown, managing vasoactive and cardiac drips, CVA care, pre/post neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury care, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP management, tracheostomy care, and isolation precautions • Must complete core items and schedule labs within 48 hours of signing contract • Full compliance required to start on time • Modules completed during orientation (non-billable hours) Facility: This healthcare facility features a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit with an average daily census of 30 patients.
