Details Night shift position with hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM Step-Down/PCU (Progressive Care Unit) staffing pool setting Located at a large 815-bed regional referral hospital and Level II trauma center in Asheville, NC 13-week contract Requirements Active NC or Compact RN license required Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start) Current ACLS certification required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for PCU/Tele RNs Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Step-Down RN experience required US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required (two required if coming from Florida or Missouri) No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible The facility has earned Magnet® Designation and has been recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals (Healthgrades, 2020–2023) Hospital serves as the region's only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and houses the only open heart and interventional cardiology program in the region American Traveler Job ID P-680669.
