Details Hospital-based Pediatric Medical unit Patient population spans newborns through 18 years of age with no single specialty focus — broad case mix including respiratory, GI, trach, and home ventilator patients Level 1 trauma facility Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) 13-week contract Requirements Active OK RN license or valid eNLC compact RN license required Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Experience with trach care and home ventilator patients required Broad pediatric experience including respiratory and GI preferred Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted Full Date of Birth required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting care and responses to treatment, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, monitoring physiological data, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time for a maximum of 26 weeks total Compliance requirements (drug screen, background check, and medical documentation) must be completed promptly after offer acceptance — start dates will not be adjusted for compliance delays American Traveler Job ID P-679701.
