A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours per week guaranteed • 13-week assignment with ASAP start date • Maintain 1:2 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends • Must have minimum 1 year of pediatric CICU/CVPICU experience as a traveler • First-time travelers will not be accepted • May float to cardiac medical surgical floor to assist with patients • Float between main facility and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles southwest) • Care for patients with congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and myo/endocarditis • Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, ECMO, VADs, advanced monitoring lines, and arterial/CVP lines • Must pass medication/dosage test in first week with 100% score (3 attempts given) • Required certifications: BLS, PALS, CCRN (only AHA certifications accepted, no RQI) • Must have both Missouri (or compact) and Kansas state nursing licenses • Dress code allows any kid-friendly colors or patterns • Free parking with permit provided • Self-scheduling system with weekend coverage required • Work in smoke-free facility environment Facility: This renowned children's hospital has been named one of the best children's hospitals in America, operating as a Magnet-designated teaching facility with Level I Trauma Center and Level IV NICU capabilities.
