A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work every other weekend and holidays • No on-call responsibilities • 2 years of nursing experience required • Telemetry cardiac experience required • Recent traveler experience highly preferred • Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) • Active Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification • Skills checklist pertinent to telemetry specialty required (current within 1 year) • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required • Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychological/social and family support needs • Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care according to patient's real and/or perceived needs • Evaluate patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge • Consult and collaborate with healthcare team members in planning and implementing total patient care • Apply broad nursing knowledge using the nursing process in a caring, concerned manner • All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission • Facility considers local candidates within 50-mile radius for one 13-week contract only Facility: This healthcare organization operates a progressive care unit that provides intermediate-level care for patients who require more monitoring than general medical-surgical floors but less intensive care than ICU settings.
