Job Details – Travel Nursing / PCU Nurse Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (Blue Ridge Mountains) Role: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse / PCU Nurse (RN) Assignment Type: Travel nursing assignment Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 29, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800–$1890 Positions Available: 3 Qualifications / Job Requirements Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. Minimum 1 year recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, telemetry, or similar acute care setting BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred Strong clinical assessment, telemetry monitoring, and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate progressive care nursing to patients with intermediate acuity Continuously monitor and assess patients with complex medical conditions using telemetry and clinical judgment Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, escalating to higher-level care when necessary Promote a safe, patient-centered healing environment consistent with hospital policies and evidence-based nursing practice Why Join This Travel Nursing Opportunity in Asheville?
