A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 36-hour per week schedule with rotating weekends • No call responsibilities • Floating required between units • Must be competent in both Med/Surg and PCU nursing • Patient ratios: PCU 1:5, Med/Surg 1:7 when floated • Care for adult and geriatric patients • 24 hours of orientation including 16 hours non-billable • 1 year of nursing experience required • Accepts first-time travelers • Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS • Must use Epic charting system • Skills include MS/Tele, rapid response/code teams, CVA care, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, wound care/wound vac • Daily census of 33 patients in 35-bed unit • Participate in nursing student support and clinical education • Must live 100 miles from facility • Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date • Facial hair must be trimmed for fit testing per CDC guidelines • Complete 4-5 hours of non-billable modules during orientation Facility: This healthcare facility operates a hybrid PCU/Med-Surg unit with 35 beds and comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
